New wheels

I officially have a new set of wheels and boy is it comfortable to drive something so spacious. What drove me to making this decision? As a fan of big cars and not wanting to subject myself to driving a small cramped little car (which I was and did for many years), I figured since I am going to drive this car for the next few years I may as well be satisfied with my purchase. And why not? Life is short and happiness is often shortlived. I love my car.

A classic case of genetics. Either you have it or you don't.

Away, away, away to KLIA!

With a box of doughnuts in one hand and a horsewhip in the other I am on my way to KLIA to catch a flight home. Just minutes before my father almost gave me a heart attack had he left the house any later or decided he was the only person who knew best the way to KL Sentral. With only minutes to spare, I was dropped across the road where I quickly grabbed all my things and headed straight for the check-in counter. Of all things to kid around with, I dislike kidding around with time and distance especially when I have a plane to catch. Because he had taken the long way around, we were stuck in a traffic jam and had to take many turns and yet with all that still did not get to our appointed destination. My heart almost stopped beating and I was close to an anxiety attack. Thank goodness I am on the train now. Phew!

Hello friend!

Ex-colleagues from my previous company, we were a notorious bunch of IT geeks (well they were the pure breed kind meanwhile I was an outcast that just so happened to fit in). Picture here is one of my best girl friend's and gossip-aunty aka chinese lecturer buddy of all time. I'm glad we can still relate to each other as if I'd never left.

For once, this picture is void of any alcoholic beverages.

Finnegan's Mid Valley

Turns out (and lucky for me) there was another post lunch drinking session to be had the day before my departure back to KK. Catching up with another old friend from 7 years ago, we shared plenty of laughter, mostly talking about how our lives have changed since we first met and how we would like to see the future mold itself ahead of us. It's been awhile since I've last met someone whom I am able to talk about the things that have happened to me for the past few years without have to explain myself in great detail. Supposing that what friends are for, I'm thankful I still have a handful of people I can relate to after so many years.
